Changing the Default Material or Library

Modify the default material or default standard material library in the Preferences.

  1. Select File > Preferences to open the Preferences window.
  2. Under Category, select Materials.


  3. To change the default material, click on the value for Default materials and select a different material from the list.
  4. To change the default library, click on the value for My standard materials and browse to the location of the database.
  5. Click OK.
Tip: If you want to use multiple libraries, you can set up an environment variable.
