General Connector

Create a rigid imaginary rigid part between arbitrary faces/spots.

Only bonded contact is supported.

  1. On the Project Tree, click on the Connections workbench
  2. On the Connections workbench, select > General connector.
  3. In the Virtual connector dialog, use the radio buttons to specify whether to apply connector to a Face or Spot.
  4. Optional: If applying to Spots, you can create new spots by clicking Create new spot.
  5. On the modeling window, click to select specific parts on the model.
    Your selections will appear in the Virtual connector dialog.
  6. Click OK.
    The general connector will appear in the Connections branch. If selected, it will be visually represented in the modeling window.
