Cable Tightening/Rod Preload

Apply shortening or change of length for cables/rods.

1. On the Project Tree, open the Analysis Workbench.
2. On the Analysis Workbench toolbar, click (Cable tightening/Rod preload).
3. Choose from the following options.
   • Define Cable shortening as an absolute value or relative percentage for cable tightening.
   • Define Rod length change as a value or relative percentage for rod preload.
     Note: Negative input indicates compression and positive input is elongation.
4. Click OK.
   The cable tightening will appear in the Project Tree. If selected, it will be visually represented in the modeling window.
