Translational Inertia Load

Apply a uniformly distributed translational inertia load over the volumes of the parts in an assembly.

1. On the Project Tree, open the Analysis Workbench.
2. In the workbench toolbar, click (Inertia Load) > Translational inertia.
3. Specify where the translational inertia will be applied in one of the following ways:
   • Activate the Apply to whole assembly radio button to apply to all parts in the assembly.
   • Activate the Apply to selected parts radio button, then select desired parts in the modeling window.
4. Specify the Acceleration along the X, Y, and Z axes.
5. Specify the Units for the acceleration.
6. Click OK.
   The vector representing the inertia load will appear in the model.
