FORAN Reader

Supported Entities

Entities supported by the FORAN reader:

All entities supported by the STEP reader
Model hierarchy and organization from the XML file

The FORAN reader requires a STEP (.stp) file and a correspondingly named FORAN XML (.xml) file to exist in the same directory. It reads data from the STEP file using the STEP reader and then reads the FORAN XML file to generate the relevant model hierarchy and organization.

Import Options

The FORAN reader uses the ct_reader.ini file and has the same options as the STEP reader.

Supported Metadata

The FORAN reader generates the same metadata as the STEP reader, with some additional metadata generated from the FORAN XML file.
