Super Elements

Assign nodes to a super element set.

Restriction: This tool is only available for Nastran interfaces (MSC and NX).

All of the nodes belonging to the super element are displayed as long as you remain in the Super Elements tool. This includes nodes not associated with elements currently displayed.

All nodes initially belong to super element 0.

  1. From the 1D ribbon, click the arrow next to the 0D/1D tool set name and select Super Elements.
  2. Select the nodes to assign.
  3. Specify the ID of the super element.
  4. Click Create to assign the selected nodes to a super element.
