Comments

  1. Fields 3, 4, and so on of this entry correspond, field-by-field, to fields 3, 4, and so on of the MAT9OR entry referenced in field 2. The value recorded in a particular field of the MAT9 entry is replaced (if TABLEM1 or TABLEG is used) or modified (TABLEM2/3/4 is used) by the table referenced in the corresponding field of this entry. In the example shown, G11 is modified by TABLEMj 32; G14 is modified by TABLEMj 18, and so on. If the fields are zero or blank, there is no temperature dependence of the field on the MAT9 entry.
  2. The MATT9 entries may refer to blank entries on the respective MAT9 card. In which case, they will be applied to default values of respective parameters.
  3. The continuation entries are optional.
  4. The TEMPERATURE Subcase Information Entry (with type = MATERIAL) is required to activate temperature-dependent material behavior and to define the temperature field (option = SID of TEMP, TEMPD or the SUBCASE ID of a thermal analysis subcase).
  5. With TABLEM1 or TABLEG, the respective field on MAT9 will be replaced by the table data on MATT9. With TABLEM2/3/4, the respective field of MAT9 will be modified by the table data.
  6. For temperature-dependent material table lookup for an element with different temperatures at each node, the average temperature of all nodes of the element is considered as reference temperature for table lookup for that particular element.
  7. This card is represented as a material in HyperMesh.
