This parameter defines the distance below which the end points of gap/contact elements (for example, the GA and GB fields of the CGAP Bulk Data Entry) are considered coincident (as they may be too close to define the gap direction accurately). |
Comments
- Currently, for CGAP and CGAPG elements, the default minimum distance is set at an absolute value of 1.0e-4. For CONTACT, it is calculated automatically according to element size on the main face, in which case it is automatically scaled if there is a change in units.
- This parameter is automatically included in the <filename>.contgap.fem file, which is an ASCII format file generated when CONTPRM,CONTGAP,YES is used.
