Bulk Data Entry Used to set the Upper Bound of the Design Variables (radii) in the Lattice Sizing Optimization Phase.

Default = Blank

 This parameter should be added to the model during the 1st Phase (Topology optimization) of Lattice Structure Optimization.

Comments

  1. This parameter can possibly be set equal to the largest dimension that a particular 3D Printing machine can generate.
  2. In the absence of MAXRAD, OptiStruct automatically sets the Upper Bound of the design variables in the Lattice Sizing Optimization based on the corresponding rod length. If MAXRAD is specified, then for each rod, the minimum between the specified MAXRAD and the automatic OptiStruct upper bound value is used to set the Upper Bound.
